Grande West Gets National Exposure

Asia-Pacific correspondent, Iain Marlow of The Globe And Mail, published a piece late February 17th discussing Grande West and its mutually beneficial business relationship with Weichai subsidiary, Yaxing, in China.

Mr. Marlow touches on what BUS shareholders are well aware of, the fact that having Yaxing assemble the Vicinity Bus shaves $75,000 off the price of each unit.  It was also mentioned that the outsourcing to China came after Grande West had approached the larger unionized factories in North America to no avail, as they were already building  at capacity.  Yaxing can build 30,000 busses a year, allowing Grande West the ability to ramp up its sales efforts with no future back log issues or limitations on the manufacturing side.

The article also mentions that Canada has even higher safety standards than Europe when it comes to buses, and that Grande West buses are built to meet even the most stringent emissions standards of California.
