YANGAROO announced this morning that Joanne Eckert has formally joined the team as the Vice President of Sales and Business Development for the company’s advertising division.
Ms. Eckert will be working out of YANGAROO’s New York City office and brings over fifteen years of industry experience, skills and key relationships. She received her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts and has held executive positions with major media institutions in the U.S. including A&E, Time Warner, Viacom, Comcast, BBC, and most recently, LodgeNet Interactive Corporation, where she held the position of Vice President – Ad Sales and Partnerships.
We had the opportunity to speak with Ms. Eckert who said that the biggest draw for her in joining the YANGAROO team is simply the opportunity she feels the company has in entering the digital media distribution market and taking a sizeable piece of the pie.
Within the advertising division, YANGAROO is able to provide its DMDS cloud-based technology to what Eckert refers to as the “Three Core Customer Bases”, being traditional ad agencies, direct response agencies and content producers/production houses.
The benefit of DMDS is that these organizations are able to easily trial the technology’s capabilities with a simple download, which is an ideal characteristic from a sales perspective.
Ms. Eckert stated that she and the management team at YANGAROO have spent a considerable amount of time researching the competition’s sales approaches, technologies, costs and customer service capabilities, and she feels that with YANGAROO’s DMDS technology, the company has “room for substantial market growth”, particularly so with the client base it has already established.
