Well Known U.S. Investor Acquires Over 10% Of Neptune

In a news release issued this morning, noted U.S. investor George W. Haywood announced he has accumulated approximately 10.24% of issued and outstanding common shares in Neptune Technologies. He recently accumulated 145,549 shares in his latest round of buying, which put him over the 10% mark at a price of US$3.70 per share, being CDN$3.84 per share (based on the noon rate of exchange of the Bank of Canada on July 16, 2013).

About George Haywood

Mr. George W. Haywood served as Managing Director for corporate bond trading and Proprietary Trader at Lehman Brothers and held several positions with Lehman Brothers from 1982 to 1994. Mr. Haywood has been a Private Investor since 1998 and manages his own hedge fund. Mr. Haywood also served as Director for Corporate and high yield bond investments of Moore Capital Management from 1994 to 1998. He has been a Director of Denny's Corporation since September 13, 2011. He now serves as a Director of PingTone Communications, Inc., as a Member of the Board of Directors of PingTones, as a Trustee of The New School and as a Member of the Board of Trustees for New School University in New York. He previously served as a Director of Xm Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. from May, 2004 to October 4, 2006 and XM Satellite Radio, Inc. until October 3, 2006. He also served as a Director of Advanced BioNutrition Corp. Mr. Haywood, who holds a BA from Harvard University, is currently a member of the Visiting Committee of Harvard College in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
