Dana Air is currently undergoing a process of recertification by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). According to Jacky Hathiramani, CEO of Dana Air, FLYHT’S AFIRS solution was recommended by the NCAA for increased safety and improved efficiency.

The backgrounder on why FLYHT’s technology is critical for Dana is in the context of the below paragraph that appeared in an October 12th news story (click here) that the airline was undertaking a test flight:

It will be recalled that Dana Air was cleared by the Federal Government to resume its scheduled commercial flight operation after a three month suspension by the government following the ill-fated plane crash of one of its aircraft, MC Donnell Douglas MD 83, on June 3 2012 at Iju-Ishaga area of Lagos that killed 163 people.
