Neptune & Costco Link Hands Nation Wide

Neptune Technologies & Bioressources (NTB - TSX V / NEPT - NASDAQ)
A coup is what Neptune has scored with the announcement that in January it plans to begin rolling out its Neptune Krill Oil product in U.S. Costco stores under the brand name Schiff® MegaRed™.

It would be next to impossible to find someone in North America who hasn't heard of or been to a Costco store. There are 385 locations in the U.S. alone.

According to its web site "Schiff Nutrition International develops, manufactures, markets, distributes and sells vitamins, nutritional supplements and sports nutrition products".

The news release noted that "Schiff® MegaRed™ contains Neptune Krill Oil, NKO®, a marine oil extracted from Antarctic Krill, patented for its extraction process, natural and synthetic composition, and for its use as a medication or cosmeceutical. NKO® safety and health benefits have been demonstrated by clinical studies".

Schiff is a NYSE listed company that is trading around $5.50/share with a market capitalization of approximately $145 million. It had revenues of $40.7 million and earnings of $1.6 million in Q1/F08 (Aug. 31).

This news certainly sets the stage for a jump start to 2008. To read the news release click here.
