Pure Nickel – Salt Chuck Gets A New Look

Pure Nickel (NIC: TSX) (PNCKF: OTCBB)

Pure Nickel plans to explore its 100% owned Salt Chuck property on the southern panhandle of Alaska. Peak drilling will carry out a 2,500 metre diamond drill program with targets based on technical data accumulated. Pure Nickel and its drilling team are concentrating in the proximity of the former Salt Chuck mine which was the largest producing palladium mine in North America up until 1941. Drilling is expected to start in late November and the company is expecting permit approval over the next few weeks.

In the spring of 2007 the company expanded its land position near the former operating Salt Chuck Mine as the production numbers were very impressive. Copper, gold, silver and palladium were all mined between 1919 and 1941. High commodity prices and modern mining techniques could put this old top producer back on the map.

Salt Chuck adds a new dimension to Pure Nickel’s portfolio of properties and the company has a strong commitment to the discovery of environmentally friendly “green metals, (Platinum Group Metals)”.
