William Lake - The Resurrection

Pure Nickel (NIC: TSX - PNCKF: OTCBB)

is preparing a 43-101 Technical Report on its 100% owned William Lake property in the heart of the Thompson Nickel Belt in Manitoba. It has contracted Scott Wilson from, Scott Wilson Roscoe Postle Associates Inc. to prepare the report.

The property had been recently acquired by Pure Nickel from Xstrata Nickel, formerly Falconbridge. Extensive exploration took place at William Lake over 13 years with an estimated 30 million dollars spent by Falconbridge and Hudbay Minerals between 1988 and 2001. Work included airborne and ground geophysics over roughly 16,000 km's and more than 200 drill holes proving at least 11 target areas to focus on. Some of these anomalies are very surprising in today's commodity world , as no one outside the previous companies knew about them.

The technical report is planned to be completed in November and should substantiate what NIC believes is in the ground. We cannot say that we have a deposit as that would require substantially more defined drilling. However, with the results that we have so far , we are very optimistic that in this advanced exploration property, we are very close to making this call.

Work permits and a team are contracted to carry out a minimum of 3,000 meters to be drilled starting in October. This is a highly focused venture on one of its most mature properties and we will keep the information flowing as we know more.
