LMS Medical Systems Signs Major U.S. Contract

LMS announced today that the Texas-based Medical Center of Arlington, part of a 180-hospital network, will use LMS' risk prevention tools to minimize injuries to babies during child birth.

LMS developed the CALM Shoulder Screen (TM) to better predict if a baby is at risk of having its shoulder stuck behind the mother's pubic bone during the birthing process, which can cause the baby to suffer injuries such as brain damage or a broken collar bone.

The Medical Center of Arlington is located between Dallas and Fort Worth and is one of the largest obstetrical delivery hospitals in North Texas, delivering 3,700 babies per year.

It will be the first hospital in Texas to implement LMS's unique risk reduction program.
